How much of its adult weight a puppy has reached, by age.
Small breeds finish growing early. Giant breeds keep adding weight well into their second year. The chart shows how much of its adult weight a typical puppy has reached by each age, for six adult-weight groups.

Typical (median) puppy in each adult-weight group. Groups IV to VI keep growing past 12 months. Their curves run on to 18 to 24 months in our data.

Typical weight in pounds. Divide by 2.2 for kilograms. Real puppies vary: the likely range at 12 weeks is roughly 15% either side of these figures.
